The problem

01

What this solves.

n8n is easy to start with and easy to outgrow. Workflows pile up without documentation, credentials are shared, errors go unnoticed, and nobody is sure which automations are still in use.

What changes

  • A clear inventory of every workflow and what it does
  • Security and credential risks identified and ranked
  • Error handling and alerting where it was missing
  • A plan for structure, naming, and version control

Use cases

02

What this looks like in practice.

Typical examples. Every build is scoped to your own process and systems.

01

Inherited automations

A company takes over 60 workflows built by a departed contractor. The review documents them, retires the unused ones, and fixes the five that were failing silently.

02

Before scaling

A team planning to move more departments onto n8n gets a recommendation on hosting, queue mode, environments, and access control before the load grows.

03

Security review

Shared admin logins and over-scoped API keys are replaced with per-user access and least-privilege credentials.

Scope

03

What we can build.

Capabilities

  • Workflow inventory and dependency map
  • Execution and error-log review
  • Credential and access review
  • Performance and queue-mode assessment
  • Error workflows and alerting setup
  • Documentation and naming standards

How it works

We get read access to your n8n instance, export the workflows, and review executions, errors, and credentials. You receive a written report with each finding rated by risk and effort, and we can fix the urgent items straight away.

Tools we commonly work with

  • n8n
  • Docker
  • PostgreSQL
  • Grafana
  • GitHub

Limits and human review

We review only the instance and workflows you give us access to. Fixes beyond the urgent items are scoped separately so you stay in control of cost.

Questions

05

Common questions.

Does it matter if we use n8n Cloud or self-hosted?

No. The review covers both. For self-hosted instances we also look at the server, database, backups, and updates.

Will you change anything without asking?

No. The review is read-only. Any change is agreed with you first.
